Adam Zagotti

 

 

Came to Trinity UMC in February of 2009 and is very excited to be the sixth organist to grace the bench of the "Mighty Moeller" Trinity's world-class pipe organ.  Adam is an active organist, conductor, french hornist, and choral singer and  recently began organizing concerts here at Trinity UMC as an outreach ministry.  Adam Zagotti is originally from Salem, Ohio and attended the Dana School of Music at Youngstown State University.  He has been a member of many collegiate music ensembles and was the assistant conductor for 2 fully staged opera productions at the university.  While a student Adam performed with the YSU Symphonic Wind Ensemble, and was the 2004 winner of the Dana Young Artist Competition.  Adam has also played with the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra and was a member of the Cathedral Choir at St Columba Cathedral for several years.  Prior to coming to Trinity Adam Zagotti was the organist at Lisbon United Methodist Church, in Lisbon, Ohio, Music Director and organist at St. James the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, in New Bedford, PA, and organist at St. Jude Roman Catholic Church in Columbiana, Ohio, as well as a very busy substitute schedule.  Currently Adam serves on the executive committee of the American Guild of Organists- Youngstown Chapter and is a student of Dr. Daniel Laginya.  In 2011 Adam was the guest conductor for a production of Puccini's Suor Angelica at Mosaic Arts, a new opera company in Albany, NY.  Adam also performs with the Anonymous V-ish winds, a woodwind quintet based out of Kent, OH.
