The Trinity Choir has been a staple of worship here at TUMC since our founding. Not only does the choir sing during our worship services but they also have performed for services outside of Trinity. In 2010 our choir and the Choir of Boardman United Methodist Church performed the oratorio The Crucifixion, of John Stainer both here at at Boardman UMC. The performances were a very emotional culmination of the lenten season. The oratorio was conducted by Trinity organist Adam Zagotti, and featured Max J. Pivik as baritone soloist, William Ambert, tenor soloist, and guest organist David Coffey. More collaborations are being planned for the future.
Currently the Trinity Choir is made of dedicated volunteers from the church as well as several students from Youngstown State University, and Westminster. The choir rehearses Thursdays at 7:00pm in the 2nd Floor Music Studio and again Sunday mornings at 10:00 am SHARP! The choir is always open for visitors! Give us a try, come one Thursday night and experience the music and fellowship our choir offers.
Our choir is blessed to have the opportunity to offer scholarships to 6 college students with an interest in sacred, classical music. These positions offer not only an opportunity for young musicians but also provides a regular quartet to augment our worship. Many of our students over the years have been instrumentalists, singers, and keyboard musicians whose skills often are witnessed as soloists during worship.
